+ an heartfelt essay you may have missed!

It’s a little over a week since launch day, but I’m still going strong promoting RHYTHM & MUSE. Tonight, I will be going live at 7pm EST on Instagram with @BlackNerdsCreate to talk all things RHYTHM & MUSE! If you have an IG account, I’d love for you to join me. If you can’t, you can catch the replay that I’ll include in the next newsletter!

I wrote an essay for School Library Journal about my inspiration for RHYTHM & MUSE – to give teenage Black boys a happily ever after. As a mom of two boys, this is a topic I’m very passionate about and I hope you give it a read.

“I’m a sucker for a good happily ever after. Which is one of the reasons I wrote Rhythm & Muse, to fill a void that I wasn’t finding at the time. A black, teenage boy finding his.”

Thank you so much for all of your continued support! If you tune in to the live or read the essay above, I would love to know your thoughts.
